Sheet 19 / Diagnostic set

Compare sides without opening the heating system

Compare hot and cold flow without opening water-heating equipment.

A hot-side change with normal cold flow is a different inspection branch from low flow on both sides. Record both at a few fixtures while leaving equipment covers and fuel or electrical components alone.

Five callouts for this drawing

Each note describes an action, not a diagnosis. Leave unsupported branches open.

01

Cold baseline

Note ordinary cold flow at the affected fixture before describing a pressure loss.

02

Hot baseline

Separate weak hot flow from adequate flow that lacks expected temperature.

03

Fixture spread

Check a limited representative group instead of running every outlet.

04

Equipment exterior

Record only visible lights, codes, labels, or moisture from a safe position.

05

Recent event

Add service, outage, vacancy, or control changes to the drawing.

Trace the source

Follow evidence through the branch

Add the last normal use, fixture spread, visible equipment display, recent outage or service, and simultaneous demand. Stop comparisons that create unsafe temperature or water movement.

Original schematic. Not a property inspection or as-built drawing.

Repair route and access map

Define the boundary before authorization

Retain the locations checked, readings explained by the provider, component or system finding, completed work, and fixtures or equipment left outside scope.
